Bylaws of the AppleVan Association
as amended 18 January 1999
Replacing the 1990 bylaws.
AppleVan is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to education,
support and advocacy for the use of Apple and Macintosh OS computers in
Clark County Washington. Toward that end we maintain a post office box,
internet web site and communications with other groups, funded entirely by
voluntary donations. We encourage people to be active in the Portland
Macintosh Users Group and advertise our events in the PMUG newsletter.
We have at least one monthly event or meeting open to all, free of charge
and do what we can to encourage the pleasure and value of Apple and Mac
computing in Clark County. We elect two or more officers each November as
we see fit, to handle group logistics and coordination. Officers serve
terms of one year each, and are encouraged to stay on for at least two
years, so as to encourage group continuity.
All financial records of the group (income and outgo) are posted to its
web site and AppleVan may be disbanded at any time by decision of current
officers or by a vote of those present at the November election meeting.
